Awesome, Cheap, and Effective!! ヾ(^∇^)

What I'm talking about is the sugar and coffee scrub Errica makes for me!  If you've forgotten who she is, she's my friend and room mate!!

Adorable, isn't she? (^-^*)

Anyway, this scrub is cheap, natural, and effective!  All you need is honey, lemon juice, coffee (instant coffee is okayy, too), and of course finely ground sugar!
Uses for each ingredient:
Honey-moisturizer (moisturizers, of course, makes the skin look plump and young and prevents wrinkles)
Lemon Juice-skin brightener and oil reducer (the honey, previously mentioned, will keep skin moisturized instead of oily--lemon juice is very drying to skin but is beneficial if combined with the right ingredients, i.e. honey)
Coffee Grounds-anti aging, wrinkle prevention (the coffee grounds contain caffeine, which is an anti aging agent... it also helps to grow and thicken hair [if put on the scalp, of course] and can also aid in weight loss!  Caffeine speeds up digestion, therefore, you get less bloating!  Speeding up digestion also means you become hungry faster, eating often speeds up metabolism.  You just have to be careful to not over eat... eat small healthy snacks often [apples, bananas, granola bars, etc.])
Sugar-Exfoliant, moisturizer, and cellulite reducer (I've read that sugar reduces cellulite, however I'm not sure how true that one is! haha so you may wanna look that one up on your own)
The scrub is good for your face, body, hands, and lips!  I love using this stuff for my lips, my lips get so dry if they aren't constantly moisturized throughout the day. o.o

I hope you enjoyed this little easy, home-made scrub tip! (^-^*)

If you guys like this sort of thing, let me know!  Errica and I know quite a few recipes for home-made beauty products!

Gyaru: Conform or Not To Conform... That Is The Question!

Lately, I've been thinking (as I gawk at clothes I like), should I really be doing gyaru?  I mean, most of the clothes and shoes I like don't really fit into a specific substyle... Therefore, I feel like if I posted photos of a look I love that isn't exactly "gal enough", I'm sure some people, somewhere will give me hell and be sure to let me know (and others) that I'm not.

Do I really want to conform to a style that's supposed to be all about being unique and being yourself?  How can you be yourself when you want to do a style that people always seem to make out to be sooo specific?

Then, I realized, I don't give a damn!ヾ(^∇^)
There are tons of well-known, gorgeous gyaru that wear whatever the hell they want --
whether it's club-wear, PJs, or a garbage bag!
If fell as though make up is the only factor of whether you're gyaru or not.  Think about it...
If you're glammed up, but you're not wearing gyaru-styled makeup, do you look gyaru?
No, not really.  You just look like a well-dressed girl.
But say you're wearing Spiderman PJs, but your makeup is on point... do you look gyaru?
Hell yes!  So I've decided, I'm not going to categorize myself in a specific substyle (sure I like
a ton of the substyles and will do them occasionally, but I'm saying that I won't have a main
look)... I'm just gonna be a gyaru!
I'll wear whatever I want and just make sure my makeup is ballin'! lol

I'm not trying to bash anybody and I'm not directing this toward anyone...
I realize some people just like the things that they like and it has nothing to do with them
conforming (and those people aren't conformists, I know that)
to look like a certain style!  And that's cool.
I respect that! ^-^  I'm just saying how I've been feeling about the style lately.

This is what I wore today and this is how my makeup looks today!  I'm not ashamed! lol

Yup!  A sailor sweater, jeans, and some red Toms. lol Enjoy my well thought-out outfit... xD

Go-Go Hello Kitty Harassment Stopper!!

Heyy! Long time, no type.

Sadly, it's due to my struggle in art school. T-T
But luckily the semester is nearly over with only a week and a half left + finals week.  I've been killing myself trying to finish the 20+ (zero exaggeration lol) animation projects I have to do by November 29. *sigh* still not done btw. >.>
Due to this stress I haven't been able to make entries or youtube videos... two things I really like doing!

On to something not depressing!
My new earphones!  Lol I'm in love with these!  I feel so cute when I wear these and the best part is they copletely block out all sound so I can't hear when hooligans are begging me for my phone number lol They were a regular $25, but as Ross (a discount fashion store, like Marshall's and TJ Maxx) they were like $13!  Badass! Haha

How Do I Get To Japan?! ヽ(o`皿′o)ノ

So I'm super curious about this--

--HOW DO SO MANY GALS GET TO JAPAN?!
They seemingly have no jobs and they just go on whim... How does that happen? *-*
Whatever they're doing, that's what I wanna do! lol Seriously, if any of you know, please help a fellow gaijin gyaru get to where they wanna be... JAPAN! LOL

Sadly, that was all for this entry.  I had to get that off my chest. lol

Just so that this entry won't be completely pictureless, I'll take a picture of what I wore today.  Can you guess who I look like? haha

yeahh... my face wasn't looking so hot, soooo... lol

And if you guessed Wednesday Adams, you're correct! lol that is who I'm dressed like, it totally wasn't on purpose, I didn't notice until like... 2p today xD
When I got dressed this morning, I was like, "hmm, who do I like like??"

A Short Day Out! (Picture Heavy!)

Helloooo ladies!

I just wanted to share with you this short blog entry!
This is entry is pretty much just an excuse to show you guys the shoes I bought recently! lol
Sooo, Errica and I explored a little area around town filled with adorable locally owned shops filled with clothes and shoes that are perfect for all kinds of gyaru (sadly most of the shops are crazy expensive!) But at a place called 7 Chics, we found these gorgeous shoes, perfect for hime gyaru! And can you believe that they were only $10?  Badass, right?

We also went to this cute little restaurant in the marketplace called Bonefish!  As soon as we saw the outside of the restaurant and how cute and home-y it looked, we knew we just had to go!  The restaurant has all kinds of foods from all kinds of cultures!  That's the main thing that I love about that restaurant.  There's Jamaican food, Japanese food, Italian food and tons more!  I love it!
And here's the inside of Bonefish!  It looks so fancy, doesn't it?  I felt so high class. lol
There were more alcoholic drinks on the menu than food! xD
(The place is so empty because we got there as soon as it opened [4pm])
Later on, tons of business men starting coming in to eat and drink!  There were so many ajusshi. Haha so that made me feel even more high class. lol

Errica's spicy coconut shrimp!  Which tasted like heaven :P

And this is my corn and lump crab chowder with aspargus and garlic mashed potatoes! It tasted amazing *-*

 Errica by the fountain!
It was ridiculously bright outside, she couldn't look up without squinting her eyes and looking like Clint Eastwood in his old movies lol

Errica actually caught me off guard, she's so awesome at catching good pictures of me. lol I'm not even photogenic, it takes me like... 8 tries to get ONE good picture! xD How does she do it?

Just some pictures of the marketplace :D  It looks gorgeous, like Louisiana's own little slice of Cali!  While I'm there, I can pretend I'm somewhere cool. lol

 A starfruit! ∑(O_O;)
I've never seen a real starfruit before!   Saw this bad boy at the
Fresh Market~
One day I'm gonna buy one... and eat it.

Well that's all!  Sorry it was so boring lol

❤My Beauty Diary Aloe Amino Acid Cleanser Review❤

Hello all!

Today I have a wonderful review for you! ^o^
32295.jpg
I'll be review the My Beauty Diary Aloe Amino Acid Cleanser (you can purchase this fine item at prettyandcute.com)!
The product has a really light and creamy consistency, meaning it's gentle on your face!  It also foams so it covers a large area with very little product, which I like because when I wash my face I like to get every crevice plus my neck, and I don't want to have to use a ton of my cleanser to do so!

The cleanser comes with a cute and convenient little spatula so you can scoop out the product easily with getting it under your fingernails!  That's very important to me as a person that ALWAYS has long nails. lol  It's just a pain getting stuff stuck under them all the time!

This cleanser is very thorough and effective with cleaning your skin.  But the best part is, it doesn't dry your skin out (like many other cleansers tend to do, yet claim to not do).  My skin always feels soft and smooth, and supple after washing and I don't even have to put on a moisturizer afterward if I don't want to (for instance, when I go to sleep I don't like wearing too many products on my face.  So this cleanser is perfect for people that feel that way as well)

This product not only moisturizes, but it prevents fine lines and wrinkles (prevent now, don't try to get rid of the stubborn wrinkles later.. :/ ) and it stimulates the production of collagen which is also a must for anti-aging!

To the right is my face after a full day (9am -- 8pm) of normal activity (applying makeup, touching my face with my dirty, germy hands, walking in the hot sun, attending sleep-worthy classes, all with hair on my forehead... oiling it up!).
Icky and oily... yes, I know. (T_T)
To the left you can see that you only this tiny amount to thoroughly cleanse your face of dirtiness of the day!

And this is my face after using My Beauty Diary's Aloe Amino Acid Cleanser!  Looks so much better, right?!  My face looks lighter, is no longer oily, but at the same time it looks, feels, and IS hydrated.   ヘ(^_^ヘ)(ノ^_^)ノ

Thanks for reading guys and I hope you enjoyed this review!

Success!! (Roma gyaru shopping!) (^▽^*)

I was on a mystic quest over the weekend to find an awesome roma gyaru outfit!  And I found it way quicker than I thought I would... took like... 2-3 hours, but like I said.  It was quicker than I thought it would take. lol

These are the new shoes I bought!! :D Only $6.99 at Sears.  I need to buy all my shoes from Sears! lol

I think these are perfect for roma/mori gyaru!

This is the outfit I bought!

The shirt was $13.50 from Forever 21

The skirt was $4.50 from Forever 21
Cute, right?  And for such a great deal!  The whole outfit was under $30, which left me with enough money to buy these!!

An apricot essence sheet mask.

And a British flag iPhone 4s case!  I don't have an iPhone 4s, that's actually my iPod touch, lol
but it fit so well I was like "ehh, what the hell... I'll get it anyway."  It was only $2 at Icing, so why wouldn't I get it!?
Errica also bought one of the on-sale British flag items!  Yes, a flask, lol it was also only $2! :D neat, huh?

And I just thought I'd show you guys my makeup for the day.
Yeaaaahh, sorry my picture is sideways, lol
I don't know why my pictures are acting so funky! ( ̄~ ̄;)

Well, I guess that's it for this entry!
Thanks for reading! (^▽^*)

I Know I'm Not Fat But...

Hi!  So I'm sure you know where this is going... xD I wanna lose a few pounds!
It's not that I think I'm fat or anything, because I know I'm not.  However, I would like my body to be tighter and fatter-looking.  You can be thin with a round belly... trust me.  I've seen it happen.

I think I'll looking cuter in gyaru-like clothing, it'll just pull the look together!  I'm not saying chubbier people can't look like gyaru, that's not AT ALL what I'm saying... but because of my height, my thoughts are definitely:  "the smaller, the better."

So first, a little bit about my weight and all that!
Last time I weight myself I weighed:  121 lb (54.8 kg)
My height is 5' 4"
Last time I checked my BMI it was at 10, I think--which is awesome!

My measurements:

waist:  29inches (approx. 73.5cm)
hips:  35.5inches (approx. 90cm) (I didn't measure around my butt, I measured a bit above that... should I have measured around my butt? o.o)
bust:  35inches (approx. 89cm)
arms:  9.5inches (approx. 24.5cm)
thighs:  22inches (approx. 56cm)

Those are my measurements!  All I really care about is my stomach though... haha I think everything else looks okay, actually, I'd like my arms to be a weeeee bit smaller too.  Just a wee bit.

And here are some pictures to get an idea of what I'm working with ;D

I think my goal weight is going to be 110lb (49.8kg).
Right now I'm aiming for 115lb (52.16kg), just to see if I'm satisfied with that weight.

Don't worry!  I'm not doing anything unhealthy. lol ...at least I don't think I am. haha
I'm dieting according to what the app says on my ipod touch (the app is called "Lose It", for those that wanna try it out!)  It keeps track of the calories I can eat and such!
To lose 2lb (0.9kg) every week, I can only consume 886 calories a day, I know it doesn't sound like much, but I had no trouble doing it today! :D  And besides, if I exercise, I can eat more!  I burned off almost 400 calories exercising today, so that means I can eat about 400 more calories, if I want!  But it's late, so I'm not gonna. :P

Thanks for reading!! :3

Egg Drop Ramen Pictorial! (^o^)/

Hi everyone!

Today I have something quick and easy to show you! (^o^)/ A simple ramen recipe!
First things, first!
You'll need a pack of your favorite instant ramen!
I chose Indomie brand, and the flavor is chicken curry.  I got this from my local Asian Market.
And now that you've got your ramen!  Put the noodles into a pot of boiling water!

While you're waiting for your ramen to cook, pick out a few vegetables you like and one large egg.

Personally, I like scallions and snow peas in my ramen!  Scallions have a semi-strong flavor, it isn't anything to worry about even if you don't like onions, because scallions don't taste like your typical onion!  I even love putting scallions in my fried rice! (I'm eventually going to do a pictorial on how to do that as well! ^-^)

Rinse your vegetables well.

And chop them up into small pieces.  (I apologize for the picture being so dark!  Forgive me!(ToT)

Make your way back to your noodles, when they're about halfway cooked (or almost completely cooked), pour out some of the water so the flavor won't be too diluted.  But be sure not to pour out too much if you like soupy style ramen (like I do!).

Now, pour the season packages into your pot of noodles, the Indomie brand comes with 3 flavor packets--that's why I love this brand!  I love lots of flavor!

Pour in the vegetables to cooked lightly.

Drop your egg into the pot, you drop the egg in near the end so that it won't get overcooked and hard-boiled, in my opinion, a soft boiled egg tastes much better with ramen!  So I only let the ramen/vegetable/egg combination sit on the stove for a minute, maybe even less!  Don't worry, your egg won't be dangerously undercooked.  Even after you pour your ramen into your bowl, your egg will still be cooking inside.  Be careful not to leave your ramen on the stove for too long.

While the egg cooks a little I whip out the soy sauce and only put about 2 cap-fulls in the ramen... maybe a little more, the measurements aren't concrete.

Now I'm going to heat up half of a chocolate mantou in the microwave to enjoy with my ramen!

And now, get a cup of aloe juice and the meal is complete!

I hope you enjoyed this pictorial!  And I hope you're wishing for more! (*^▽^)/
